Proverbs Life Lesson – 6:6-8

God’s wisdom could be learned from many things in the world. He created everything, and the whole earth is declaring His glory. This world was created by His wisdom, and His wisdom is holding everything together. In this proverbs, you can learn a life lesson even from ant.

Ministry, Calling, God, Jesus, Life

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest. – Proverbs 6:6-8 NIV

Unlike humans, the ant has only one master. That is God who created them. They don’t have a mind like you do, but they do things that they are meant to be doing. They do not quit because they are tired of doing the same thing. They don’t complain because they feel unfair.

So what can you learn from the ant and apply to your own life?

God’s directions for a blessed life

God, Jesus, Life, Christian, Bible

What corrupted the life of man at the beginning was disobeying God’s instructions. God began the life of man by setting the limits, boundaries, and directions for protecting their relationship to God and for their blessed life. As a result of sin, many people still try to choose their own ways of living, create their own meanings of happiness, and make short-sighted decisions for everyday life.

Although God knows we are sinners, He still wants us to be right with him. And He continuously gives us His instructions for us to be blessed. It’s on us for how we choose to put them on practice and change our future lives. Are you ready to be blessed? Continue reading “Proverbs Life Lesson – 4:23-27”

Accept, Store up, and Apply

Proverbs 2:1-5 NIV

My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.

Jesus Christ, God, Bible, Faith, Word

As a believer, you should always want to grow deeper and understand the ways of the Lord. Once you begin to think you have arrived, you will stop growing, and you’ll become prideful. 2 Peter 3:17-18 NIV say,

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

The Fear of the Lord

Proverbs 1:7 NIV

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7 ERV

Knowledge begins with fear and respect for the Lord, but stubborn fools hate wisdom and refuse to learn.

Jesus, Christ, God, Bible, Fear, Wisdom, Christian Life

Do you fear God? Your answer might be different by how you describe your relationship with Him. When you don’t know who God is, or you view God as a person who punishes you for the wrongdoing, of course, you’ll be afraid of Him. But Solomon is not talking about that kind of fear in this scripture. Continue reading “Proverbs Life Lesson – 1:7”

Listening, Understanding, and Learning

Proverbs 1:5 ERV

Even the wise could become wiser by listening to these proverbs. They will gain understanding and learn to solve difficult problems.

What makes a Christian life blessed is receiving wisdom from the Lord. Proverbs teach us ways of living in many ways. Let’s dig Proverbs 1:5 a bit deeper.

Christian life, Faith, Bible, God, Jesus

1. Listening

It says, “Even the wise could be become wiser by listening.” The wise people are wise because they gained wisdom by listening to teachers. But sometimes, you can be arrogant and prideful when you think you know something. But the wise can be wiser when you stay humble and receive more wisdom. Are you teachable?   Continue reading “Proverbs Life Lesson -1:5”
