God is fighting for you!

Battle, God, Jesus, BibleHave you ever got frustrated and irritated by the feeling that you are fighting for something all alone, and nobody understands? There’s nothing more uncomfortable when you are only one facing something that bigger than you and doesn’t have any support of others. You want someone beside you fighting, and at least gives you the word of encouragement when you are feeling weak.

Unfortunately, sometimes you don’t find that kind of friends or support, and you must fight a battle alone. For Christ’s believers, most of the battles you face are spiritual and not physical. Sometimes, you don’t even know why you are in a battle, but you sure feel a dark spiritual force is attacking you. I want you to know that you are not alone! How deep is your well?

God, Jesus, Living Water, Bible, Life, MinistryDo you have some areas of your life that you don’t want to talk about it, don’t want anybody to know, and you want to avoid if you could? It could be something from your past. It might be something that you struggle with but can’t tell anybody. It may be something that you don’t want to bring it up so that people won’t look down on you. Many of us have those areas and hope that we don’t ever have to deal with it. You might have learned to hide it very well. You might have decided to avoid and ignore it.

But God sees it.

God wants you to deal with it so that you will live your life in full. God doesn’t want to point out those areas to hurt you or destroy your life. That’s what the enemy does. But He wants you to heal, restore, and be free from all the things that keep you living the life that God intended you to live. Taste and see

But it’s because of the child’s pickiness, he or she won’t ever find out how good it is. Or he or she will find out later in life and regrets about all these years of missing out.

Have you ever experienced missing out a blessing from the Lord because you weren’t quite sure what you are getting into, and decided not to get involved? Fear, unbelief, and lack of faith always keep you from experiencing the goodness of God.

Let me borrow your bread

Ministry, God, Jesus, Faith, bread, Doors, BibleHave you ever run to your neighbor to borrow an egg or other cooking ingredients that you need but forgot to buy? The store in town is far away or even closed. Your only choice is to borrow it until you have a chance to replace it. It’s neighborly care and helping manner. It is nice to have good friends or neighbors who you can knock their doors when you need something. There is a story in the bible Jesus taught about a man borrowing bread from his friend.

Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ – Luke 11:5-6 NIV

Ministry 101 – It’s not about you

There’s no ministry that not God-breathed. God is the one who gives you gifts and talents, and He births ministries into your life. But if you aren’t careful, sometimes ministry becomes about you. I’m not just talking about it in a prideful way. But when things in your ministry go wrong ways.  Have you ever blamed yourself about ministry isn’t going so well? Or you feel like people don’t like what you do or say through your ministry, and don’t feel worthy. If you feel like it’s your fault, let me tell you…

It’s not about you!

You go through many heartaches in ministry because you took things that happened too personally. There might be times you make mistakes because you aren’t perfect, just like everyone else. But sometimes, you blame yourself too much on things that nothing to do with you.

Ministry 101 – Culture of your ministry

Have you ever thought of what people are receiving from your ministry? Of course, you might say, “Oh, duh, Jesus!” That’s true. But the question is,

What kind of environment are you providing to the people who you minister?

People want to connect with you because you provide a piece of Jesus to their lives. Did you notice? “A piece of Jesus.” You can’t be all to all people, but you can impact people around you with a piece of Jesus you carry with your life. You have the anointing in the area that God has trusted you. That’s the only area that you need to be passionate, and keep growing to be a better minister. Of course, God can grow you in many other areas as well. But if you know what area of your life that impact people the most, you can help people with God’s grace effectively.
